VISION-MISSION VISION: The DLSU Mathematics Circle, inspired by the teachings of St. John Baptist de La Salle, envisions students that are academically excellent in the field of Mathematics, scientists that are nation builders for scientific excellence and leaders that are wholistically developed to become Christian Achievers for God and country. MISSION: Mathematical Research In its effort to push science and technology towards the top of its priorities, the Circle believes in promoting mathematical research in the undergraduate level and consequently contributing to the enhancement of academic excellence in the area of mathematics. Mathematical Appreciation The Circle recognizes the fact that mathematics spans a lot of diverse fields in the academe. With a firm belief in the university of mathematics, the Circle envisions an atmosphere where learning math becomes an enriching and stimulating experience. Membership Development Guided by the view of humans as holistic individuals, the Circle aspires to promote the well-rounded development of the Lasallian Christian Achiever and to foster professionalism in preparation for work in the industry and the academe. Nation Building In its effort to pursue excellence not only in the field of Mathematics, the Circle aims to partake in constructing a developed nation. The Mathematics Circle envisions its members to be excellent scientists and leaders that could benefit the nation. |
