Match Day Ii

Match Day II was a Football Simulation Game made for the Amstrad CPC , ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64 platforms, programmed in 1987 by Jon Ritman and Bernie Drummond . It delivers very simple graphics, it is considerably slow, with controls consisting of 4 directions and a shot button and 2 teams with 5 players each. Anyway it results highly addictive due to the fine tuned difficulty, complete control over ball direction, power and elevation, and the importance of tactics and player positioning over the field, which made it challenging to break strong defences.
So it's a very pleasing game when you start practicing and improve your gameplay. Galore of fans around the world still play Match Day II nowadays, especially because of the Emulator s available for PC platforms.
