The Massachusetts general election will be held on November 7 , 2006 in the Commonwealth Of Massachusetts . The general election will include statewide elections for U.S. Senator , Governor , Lieutenant Governor , Attorney General , Secretary Of The Commonwealth , Treasurer , and Auditor , and district elections for U.S. Representatives , State Representative , State Senator , and Governor's Councilor . The legislature can pass the law by May 2 , or supporters can put it on the ballot by getting 11,000 additional signatures by July 5 .
