Maps Of Los Angeles, California

Sections of South Los Angeles around Interstate 110 ( Harbor Freeway ), along with East Los Angeles , Boyle Heights , and North Hollywood , are the poorest areas in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. These areas may range from approximately one-third African American and two-third Latino to entirely Latino . Historically a Segregated black community, the South Los Angeles region is now home to many new Latino immigrants, many working in the factories in Vernon and Commerce and in other cities.

Predominantly white communities can be seen as a "ring" around South and East Los Angeles. These white communities include Bel Air, Santa Monica, and Torrance.
