It was through the idea of two young Christian Computer professionals, one hearing and one Deaf , decided to make their dream of establishing an educational institution that focuses on improving the Computer skills of the Deaf .

MCCID is conceptualized on the belief that every Deaf individual is capable of doing jobs that Hearing People do and that his handicap is not a hindrance to attain what is required in working at any type of environment.
The principal aim of MCCID is to assist the hearing impaired in getting a better chance to compete for Employment , Education and other opportunities like every other citizen in the Philippines .
MCCID core System of training the Deaf centers on three major concerns:
- Christian Work Values - Love for work, strictly obeying company rules and procedures while securing his rights as a worker are being taught in class.
- Work Excellence - Since a Deaf person cannot compete head on with a hearing person due to lack of one ability, he must compensate it with another one. Excellence means Commitment to Quality . He must be punctual, efficient and possessing a good image both outward and inward. He must be dedicating what he is, what he has and what he does to God , and then giving his best, not thinking about the rewards, because the rewards take care of itself.
- Above Industry Standards - One of the reasons why MCCID went under the authority from TESDA is because of its dynamism in curriculum and industry linkages. Once the standards in work place have been set, an immediate adaptation on the present subject setup can be easily made. And, as much as possible, MCCID trains students to at least be one notch higher than what industry dictates. For instance, if a Data Encoding company requires applicants to type at least 12,000 keystrokes per hour, a MCCID student must strive to go at least 15,000 ksph.
Since it started in 1993, MCCID has
- Received 4 Gold Medals of Excellence in computer technology during the twelfth Philippine National Skills Competition last December 2005 and to represent the country in the seventh International Skills Competition to be held in Shizuoka, Japan 2007;
- Received the most medals (11) during the second NCR Regional Skills Competition last 2005;
- One of the two deaf people to win a bronze medal in APEC-IT Korea web page design contest in 2002;
- Graduated more than 150 deaf students, five of them currently work at the office of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo ;
- Recipient of 2005 Asia-Pacific Young Professional Award in Education and People’s Choice Award given by National Consumer Affairs Foundation September 2005;
- 100% pass rate in Data Encoding Skills Certification Exam conducted by TESDA 2003;
- One of the observers and advocates of Web Accessibility during the Web Enabled Accessibility Interregional Seminar and Regional Demonstration Workshop on ICT attended by delegates from Asia
MCCID students were
- The first deaf person to win the Bronze Medal in , India last November 2003;
- The first deaf person to win the Gold Medal in the 10th Philippine National Skills Competition in Web Page Design category last September 2001;
- The first deaf recipient of 2004 Academic Excellence Award in National Capital Region awarded by TESDA;
MCCID is
- The first institute for the deaf in the Philippines that went online (www.mccidonline.net) in 1997;
- The first and only institute for the Deaf authorized by the Philippine government;
- The first and only institute authorized by the government to offer a sign language course in the Philippines;
- The first deaf person ever worked in Malacanang Palace with the Office of the Philippine President ;
