Information About

Management Styles

Various management styles can be employed. An autocratic manager makes all the decisions, setting objectives, allocating tasks and expecting the workforce to do exactly as required. In a democratic style the manager allows the employees to take part in decision making. A laissez-faire manager allows the workforce to get on with whatever has to be done and has little input in the way of direction or control.
Finally, the management by exception is that which intercepts with the extrordinary situations only.
