Plants of the genus ''Malva'' are Herbaceous Perennial s; the other genera include Annual s, herbaceous perennials, sub- Shrub s, shrubs, and small Tree s (including Hibiscus ). Several mallows are of horticultural merit. Some have other economic uses, although none is a major crop plant.
