ABOUT MACHINE ROBO

Machine Robo consisted mostly of transforming toy robots, although some did not transform.
The first Machine Robo toys were called the 600 series because they were priced at ¥600 each. The 600 series, originally under the brand name of Popy, came about through ideas submitted by children. (Similar to the childrens' submissions in Kinnikuman .) Larger toys called "Machine Robo Deluxe" were later released. Originally, the Machine Robo were described as beings from the planet Romulos. Romulos was destroyed by the Devil Invaders from the Casmozone and thus the Machine Robo came to earth.
