Popularity Lung Ch'uan Fa is one of the only kung fu styles that includes self defense techniques (not Contemporary Wushu ) taught in Northern Virginia, where the chief instructor of Lung Ch'uan Fa, Doug Moffett, currently teaches. Mr. Moffett is a vice president of CAMCA . So far, the classes are not as wide-reaching as other martial arts in the area. Since 2005, an annual "Students' Friends and Family Demo" has taken place in McLean, VA, in an attempt to raise awareness of the classes. Classes in North Carolina at the Miller Park Outdoor Amphitheater (intersection of Knollwood and Queen) are held with Shih-Hsiung Chris Rubnich. =Prominent Lung Ch'uan Fa Practitioners Prominent practitioners are given a rank and nickname Shih-Fu, 8th Higher Level- Doug Moffett also known as "Single Strike" Shih-Hsiung, 3rd Higher Level- Bryan Grayson also known as "Indomitable Wolf" Shih-Hsiung, 2nd Higher Level- Chris Rubnich also known as "Relentless Tiger" Shih-Hsiung, 2nd Higher Level- John Tubbs also known as "Tenacious Crane" Shih-Hsiung 1st Higher Level- Bill Allen also known as "Stout-Hearted Crane" SEE ALSO LINKS |
