Lucy Helmore was married to Roxy Music lead singer Bryan Ferry on June 26, 1982. They were divorced in 2002. She is the mother of Ferry's four sons: Otis, Isaac, Tara and Merlin. Lucy posed as the cover-model for Roxy Music's last album "Avalon," wearing the helmet. Lucy has been a London socialite for years, attending parties and fashion shows. She participated in Alcoholics Anonymous and other treatment for various substance abuse problems, such as a heroin addiction. She entered Farm Place clinic, near Ockley in Surrey for treatment. Lucy comes from a wealthy family. Her father worked many years at Lloyds of London Insurance agency. She has been photographed by controversial photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. When Lucy and Bryan Ferry divorced, Lucy was charged with adultery by her husband. She has been linked with Robin Birley (the 44-year-old son of Lady Annabel Goldsmith) and writer Duncan Roy. Lucy was reportedly paid 10 Million British pounds in the settlement, in spite of the fact that Bryan had a relationship with Katie Turner at the time. Lucy's name has been in the British newspapers, documenting her support of her son Otis' efforts as a pro-hunting activist. She is also frequently photographed with certain fashion designers, including Isabella Blow and Bella Freud. |
