SWEDEN The cities of Gothenburg, Lund, Malmo and Stockholm have had Low Emission Zone for some time. UK A LEZ is proposed designation for Greater London which currently has levels of air pollution among the worst in Europe. Road transport related emissions are a significant contributor to air pollution in London. The proposed Low Emission Zone targets older, diesel-engined lorries, buses and coaches. To be permited in the zone, vehilces will need to conform to at least emission standard Euro III in 2008, tightening to a minimum of Euro IV in 2010. EXTERNAL LINKS
