The London Boat Show is held at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in East London each January. It is a vary large event which uses not only ExCeL's two 32,500 square metre halls, but also a temporary hall in the carpark. The show features a wide range of boats, boating equipment and clothing. There is a section devoted to inland waterways including canal boats. A variety of competitions are staged in a 3,000 seat indoor watersports arena. There is also a display of tall boats and other vessels in the Royal Victoria Dock immediately outside the exhibition centre. Before it moved to ExCeL, the London Boat Show was held at Earls Court.
