Lloyd Bradley




He discovered Jamaican Music in his teenage years, while going out in the North London based Sound System s and created his own named ''Dark Star System'' in the end of the sixties.

He launched several magazines: Q Magazine in 1988 , Empire and Big for Emap Metro , Maxim for Dennis Publishing , Encore magazine in 1994 for Haymarket and then joined GQ as an editor.
He is currently a freelance journalist and consultant for many titles, and spends his time writing books on stars like Rod Stewart or George Clinton .
His journalistic contributions have been published in NME , Black Music Magazine, The Guardian , and Mojo among others...
''Bass Culture'' is considered as one of the most important books on Reggae music.
