AS THE HOODED MAN At the opening movie when the player hits "New Game", Lloyd is seen as a man in a black hood and cloak. In this way, he could get through without anyone knowing who he is. Until, when Dart Feld and Lavitz Slambert revisted Hellena Prison to rescue King Albert of the Duchy of Basil from execution. When they defeated the Head Warden Fruegel, along with the help of Dart's childhood friend, Shana, a mysterious swordswoman named Rose, and a martial arts master known as Haschel, they spotted the mysterious man in black absorbing the Moon Gem from Albert's body. Infuriated, Lavitz transforms into the Jade Dragoon and heads for him (the Hooded Man) but is stabbed in the heart by a sword called the Dragon Buster which was created to slay dragons. The man's hood falls backward revealing Lloyd, Dart's opponent from the finals of the Hero Competition in Lohan. HERO COMPETITION After Dart, Lavitz, and Rose get the White-Silver Dragoon Spirit from Shirley and use it to heal Shana when she (Shana) was infected by Dragon's Poison from Feyrbrand, the Dragoons go to the Hero Competition to "become the Strongest Under the Stars." Dart meets an old friend, Haschel, who is also participating and hoping that they would meet in the final round. Unfortunately, Haschel lost to a platinum-haired swordsman named Lloyd (who, in reality, is testing his own strength). Dart had easily beaten the other contestants but lost to Lloyd and got second place. TIBEROA Just before you arrive in Fletz, the capital city of Tiberoa, time freezes and Lloyd appears. He surveys the scene for a moment before disappearing once more, time unfreezes and your team arrives at the scene; the title "Chapter 2: The Platinum Shadow" appears on screen, and it is a very appropriate title as you'll find out soon. Throughout this whole chapter Lloyd doesn't seem to have much presence: he has ordered Lenus, a female Wingly who was in love with him, to disguise herself as Princess Emille so she could steal the Moon Dagger. Lenus has formed a conspiracy with the Gehrich Gang as a cover-up to her alliance with Lloyd; so for the most part of this chapter you seem to be just doing a favor for Princess Lisa, Princess Emilles sister. As he gets the Moon Dagger from Lenus, Lloyd tells Dart and his friends that he's going to Dart's birth country, Mille Seseau; he then leaves you to battle Lenus once more, who reveals herself to be the water dragoon. BATTLE WITH LLOYD AND THE TRUTH In the country of Mille Seseau, Lloyd sought out the last Divine Moon Object, which is called the Moon Mirror. Some other major crimes he had committed in this land are that he stole the Dragon Buster--which he used to kill Lavitz--and released the Divine Dragon from his imprisonment. When he kills the Dragon, he also steals the Divine Dragoon Spirit. However, it does not recognize him as its master. He went on to kidnap Queen Theresa and steal the Moon Mirror. When Dart and the Dragoons confronted him, with Miranda the First Sacred Sister, he talked about his "utopia," and the races. After the fight, Dart had attempted to kill him but was stopped by Wink. After Wink's message about Shana being taken by Emperor Diaz," Dart and Lloyd went to Vellweb to give him the objects. There, Diaz explained his plan, which was NOT what Lloyd wanted--destruction. He was "no longer needed" by the evil man and was thrown down below, assumed to be dead. LLOYD'S FINAL MOMENTS On the Moon That Never Sets, Lloyd is still alive and learned that Emperor Diaz was really the Wingly Emperor, Melbu Frahma , who was once thought dead, now known as the chief Antagonist of the game. Lloyd comes out of hiding and challenges Melbu to a fight. He declares that he doesn't want the whole world to be "reborn" as Melbu desires, and charges at him with ferocious force. Unfortunately for him, he is no match for this newly born god and is easilly killed by Melbu's new powers. In his last moments he gives his Dragon Buster to Rose and the Divine Dragoon Spirit (that he captured earlier) to Dart. In his last words, Lloyd told them that he attacked Melbu for his own ideals, not to help Dart and co. (making him an anti-hero obviously) to stop Melbu Frahma once and for all before he can destroy Endiness. |
