Information About

Living Forest

'').]]
The Living Forest is a fictional location in the Outworld realm which appears in a number of the Mortal Kombat Video Games .

The living forest is a forest where the trees have faces and can speak, although for many years they can remain speechless. It is one of the most intimidating places in Outworld as the sounds and appearance of the trees can be frightening.

It is unknown how long the Living Forest has been standing in Outworld, nor whether the trees talk a language or just groan and yell to intimidate travellers. As Mortal Kombat games have been produced, the Living Forest has been the battleground for many fights - most recently, the hero Sub-Zero 's victory over a band of Tarakan warriors who ambushed him in the forest.

The Living Forest debuted in 1993's Mortal Kombat II and is a memorable location in Mortal Kombat history. It is the place where Sub-Zero and Kitana 's close friends Smoke and Jade were found peeking behind the trees during battle. Sometimes, if you look closely, you could see a shadowy figure running in the background (possibly Noob Saibot ).In Mortal Kombat Trilogy this is where you fight Khameleon ...

In Mortal Kombat II, there was a rumor that a secret stage Fatality could be performed in the Living Forest, in which the defeated opponent would be flung into and subsequently eaten by one of the trees. While this proved to be untrue, the concept bore fruit in Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, where the player would have to 'feed' every tree they came across in the Forest with enemies in order to pass safely through, though they could also be eaten themselves, if they weren't careful.
