"Liquid" Todd Wilkinson started his radio career as an intern at WDRE on Long Island. His first full-time job was at ''Channel Z'' (WCHZ-FM) in Augusta, Georgia in 1992 where he served at Production Director for less than a year before moving up to Boston to take over the same job at 101.7 WFNX . At WFNX, DJ Todd became Liquid Todd and launched "Spin Cycle" a show that is still on the air. Todd was promoted from Production Director to Assistant Program Director and was serving as the station's Acting Program Director when he left in early 1997. On April 7, 1997 Liquid Todd launched "Solid State" on K-Rock which became internationally known as a trailblazing radio show featuring many forms of electronic music. In 2002 Todd won the award for "Best Radio DJ" at the ''Dancestar American Dance Music Awards'' in Miami - an award he was nominated for every year the awards have been held. His second DJ mix CD, "Solid State" (2002) was also nominated for "Best Compilation" in the ''Dancestar World Dance Music Awards'' in London. In May 2005 Todd and co-host ''Steve "El" Covino'' started another radio show in New York City - Todd's first at an all-dance radio station - when "Altered State" debuted Memorial Day Weekend on WKTU. At Sirius Satellite Radio Todd hosts shows, consults and helps program two channels - ''Boombox'' and ''Chill''. He also produces a gadget review feature called "Circuit Breaker" that airs on the satcaster's Maxim Radio channel. Liquid Todd has performed live all over the world and frequently tours with superstar DJ Paul Oakenfold in North America. He lives in New York City in the East Village . (www.streettreats.com) - a doggie treat vending company which received media attention all over the world following the publication of a story on the front page of the '' New York Daily News '' website (and in the paper) in March of 2005. |
