It is where at The Czech Crown Inn , Czech author Jaroslav Hašek wrote a substantial part (books Two, Three, and Four) of The Good Soldier Svejk before he died in 1923 . Jaroslav Hašek is buried at the Lipnice Old Cemetery. Lipnice was also the location where Václav Havel made his first public appearance (at a folk festival) in 19 years in 1987 .
