''LinCity-NG'' is an Open Source City-building Game like '' SimCity '' for Linux and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems , released under the GNU General Public License (GPL) and is a Fork of Lincity . ''LinCity-NG'' uses SDL and OpenGL , and has Isometric 3D graphics, similar to that in '' SimCity 3000 ''. However, the gameplay is identical and the game is capable of reading Lincity Saved Game s. ''LinCity-NG'' runs on Linux as its primary platform, with Windows , BeOS , and Unix systems also supported. Mac OS X , however, is only supported when compiled from source using GCC and run in X11 .
