Light Years is also the American name of the Rene Laloux animated film Gandahar . ''Light Years'' is the seventh album by Australia n singer Kylie Minogue that was released in 2000. It reached number two on the United Kingdom album charts, selling over 300,000 copies. ''Light Years'' is largely seen as Minogue's "comeback" album as it saw it her return to her pop roots and to the top of the charts. It sold more than 3 million copies worldwide. REISSUE/TOUR EDITION Due to the success of the album and the "On A Night Like This" tour, a special Tour Package was released, housing a second compilation CD featuring various remixes. The special edition album was released on March 5 , 2001 . Also, for the Australian edition, Minogue's remake of Olivia Newton-John 's "Physical" was included on the second CD, as she performed the song on the tour.
