Liberty Aerospace is a Manufacturer of General Aviation Aircraft based in Melbourne, Florida . The company produces one model, the Liberty XL2 , an advanced two-seat touring aircraft based on the British-designed Europa Homebuilt (which has been sold back to a seperate management team). The type recieved FAA production certification in the Spring of 2006 , and Liberty has already recieved its first order from a Montana -based aircraft-leasing company.
