Information AboutLetters From Pegasus (stargate Atlantis) |
PLOT After Atlantis found out that three Wraith Hive-Ship s are flying in their direction, the leading team discusses what to do. Lt. Ford suggests that they should take the ZPM from M7G-677 but Dr. Weir doesn't want to hear such a suggestion. McKay finally reveals that they can use all their energy resources to open a wormhole to earth and send a high-compression data burst which will include a lot of informations. Although it is a risk the team decides to do it. After the meeting Dr. Zelenka informs the team where the Hive-ships have to leave hyperspace and Maj. Sheppard and Teyla decide to watch the threat with their own eyes. They fly with a Puddle Jumper to a planet which Teyla knows and meet an old friend of her named Orin. After warning him of the threat from the Wraith Teyla tells Orin that they will rescue his family but Sheppard can't promise this. At Atlantis McKay reveals that they can send all they have and because there is still space left, Weir decides that every member of the team should have the possibility to send a video message to their loved ones (however they are not allowed to reveal classified informations). Lt. Ford takes on the task to do this and he starts to film a message for his grandparents. Back in the Puddle Jumper Teyla and Sheppard quarrel about what Teyla promised to Orin when suddenly the Wraith appear. They then send a lot of Wraith Dart s to the planet and the Jumper flies back to it. Before they can enter the Stargate it is dialed by the Wraith so they fly to the place where they promised Orin to wait for him. At Atlantis the filming of the videos continues and over time all important members of the expedition are shown when they film their messages. Dr. Beckett , although uncertain at first what to say, sends a message to his mother in which he becomes very mushy, Dr. Zelenka tells in Czech about Atlantis' rising, Sgt. Bates sends a message to his little brother and Dr. Weir informs the families of the ones killed about the fate of their family members but also sends a message to her friend. Dr. McKay even films a message on his own which is however very long while Dr. Kavanagh sends a message to Gen. O'Neill in which he lists all the mistakes Weir made (in his opinion). During the whole filming many clips from former episodes are shown which make clear what has happened in the last months. For example the events during the storm around Atlantis, the attack of the Genii or several battles with the Wraith are shown. On the planet Sheppard and Teyla can only watch while the Wraith cull the population when suddenly a strange beam hits the village so Sheppard decides to investigate. While he is away a Wraith passes by the Jumper but doesn't see it and when some people from the planet pass by, Teyla brings them in the Jumper. When Sheppard returns he at first wants to escape (since the gate is deactivated) but then decides to wait for Orin. He finally comes and when more people come Sheppard decides to take as many on board as possible. They are able to rescue many people but others are culled by a Dart in front of the entrance of the Jumper. Afterwards they escape through the gate. Back in Atlantis Sheppard and Teyla inform Weir about the threat which the fleet poses and afterwards Weir asks him to record a message to the Col. Sumners's family which he agrees to do. In the end the message is successfully sent to Stargate Command where Lt. Col. Carter gets it. |
