Left For Dead

A less than stellar record, LFD, does have it's moments. In the late 80's radio music was at it's worse. Sonny Mone and Matt Piucci teamed up with Billy Talbot and Ralph Molina from Crazy Horse, hoping to create a hybrid sound that bridged the 70's to the late 80's. What they ended up with was a moment in time. Critically unacclaimed, personally unresolved, sonically, as one review said,"enough to blow your eyebrows back!"

The Horse was in great shape months later when Neil came around like Haley's comet and found his old standbys to be ready and rearing to go. Chops sharp, after their foray with Mone and Piucci, Young's "Ragged Glory" might not have been what it was if "Left For Dead" never happened.
