Lattice Steel Pylon

A lattice steel pylon is usually screwed together from individual parts at the place where it is to be erected. This makes very high constructions possible (generally up to 100 Metre s — in special cases even higher, as in the Elbe Crossing 1 and Elbe Crossing 2 . In addition, the assembly of lattice steel pylons can be done using a Crane , often with some kind of pulley. Lattice steel pylons generally consist of angle-profiled steel beams (L- or T-beams). Tubing lattice constructions are rare in Germany . For very high lattice steel pylons, in particular for the lower parts, Truss es are often used. Lattice steel pylons can be dismantled if necessary and be rebuilt at a new location, but in practice this is only possible with pylons which are in good condition.
