The electoral ward consists of some or all of the following areas: Castle Graig, Brynhyfyrd, Hafod, Landore and Plasmarl, in the parliamentary constituency of Swansea East.
The mainly residential suburb of is located about 1.5 miles north of Swansea City Centre. It has seen a number of new developments during the early millennium decade, such as the new
Liberty Stadium , which opened in 2005 and a new out-of-town retail park built around the same time.
Landore also has one of the largest
Park And Ride facilities in Swansea with 550 spaces and staff looking after the car park.
