Land Force Central Area (LFCA) is responsible for all Canadian army operations and administration in the province of Ontario , from the Quebec border to the northern Lakehead region. LFCA is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario near the old CFB Downsview Base. It was once based at the Place Nouveau office tower at Yonge Street north of Finch Avenue . LFCA is responsible for more than 10,000 soldiers : 5,000 in the regular force and 5,400 in the reserves as well as 900 civilian employees. REGULAR FORCES Also stationed at CFB Petawawa are 427 Tactical Helicopter Squadron and 2 Field Ambulance. Although these two units work closely with 2 CMBG, they are not officially part of the brigade group. RESERVE BRIGADES ABBREVIATIONS
