Briggs was a third round draft pick (68th overall) by the Chicago Bears in the 2003 NFL Draft . In 2004 he led the team in tackles with 168 and was elected as a second alternate to the Pro Bowl . Currently, he is starting at strong side linebacker and is emerging into one of the league's best. In 2005, Briggs was selected to represent the NFC in the Pro Bowl.
