nationality: Israel living in: Israel occupation: Poet born: 1964 Lali was born in formerly Soviet Georgia in 1964. She emigrated to Israel in 1972, where she studied Comparative World Literature, Sociology And Antropology at Bar-Ilan University and followed on to post-graduate studies in Literature. She has the distinction of being the first Israeli Georgian poet in Israel, who writes in Hebrew. She has taught Hebrew at Bar-Ilan University. Presently translates from Georgian into Hebrew.
