Kyle Chandler (born 17 September , 1965 in Buffalo, New York ) is a television Actor . Born in upstate New York, he was actually raised in Loganville, Georgia . He got his education at the University Of Georgia , Athens . In 1996 he received the Saturn Award For Best Actor On Television for his lead role in the Television Series '' Early Edition '' playing bar owner Gary Hobson. His other shows have included '' Tour Of Duty '', '' Homefront '', ''What about Joan'', and '' The Lyon's Den ''. He appeared as ''Bruce Baxter'' in the 2005 Film '' King Kong ''.
