In Bloomington, there are 4 Korean churches; Bloomington Korean Church on the 3rd street, Bloomington Pristine Church downtown, Bloomington Baptism Church, and Korean Methodist Church in Indiana (called yesarang among Koreans) near the football stadium. A lot of Koreans were helped from these churches; especially since they came here for first time because the church community accepts strangers more easily than other communities. Lots of Koreans miss Korean food, and they can eat the Korean food there. Korean churches usually serve Korean food after church service to strangers. They usually have joint activities in order to bring unity between different churches. Sometimes they get together to have a joint service, for instance, in Christmas and on New Year’s Day. Sometimes they have sports activities against each other. This Saturday, they might be having a soccer game at the Sport-splex. Come and watch this game. |
