The main features of the hamlet are the Shropshire Union Canal , which runs through the hamlet, at the point of a very deep cutting, and also next to the canal is a factory belonging to the confectionery manufacturer Cadburys , which manufactures chocolate powder. The factory also has a social club which is also used by the wider community for social events, including fortnightly whist drives, weddings, and general socialising. The club also has a football pitch which is where the amateur team Woodseaves FC, from the nearby village of Woodseaves , play their home games. |
