Some of the songs in the game for example, "Scherzo Di Notte", were derived from the soundtrack of
Kingdom Hearts but with new arrangements. The artwork for the soundtrack was designed by
Tetsuya Nomura . The soundtrack includes two vocal songs, ''
Passion ~opening Version~ '' and ''
Passion ~after The Battle~ '' which is a slower version of the opening. Both are sung, written and set to tunes by
J-Pop singer,
Utada Hikaru . Other vocal songs are ''Swim This Way'', ''
Part Of Your World '', ''
Under The Sea '', ''Ursula's Revenge'', and ''A New Day is Dawning''; however, these songs are given improper credits and the singers are not listed. Like the prequel, the game also has the "''
One-Winged Angel ''" track from
Final Fantasy VII composed by
Nobuo Uematsu with new arrangements by Yoko Shimomura used during the battle with
Sephiroth .
Although improperly credited, it can be speculated that KAZCO or Kazco Hamano, former chorus singer for the band
Do As Infinity , provided some of the chorus parts for the vocal songs from the Atlantica world. Her name is listed in the ending credits of Kingdom Hearts II and also in the special thanks section in the OST booklet.
The soundtrack also credits the
Disney music composers for the Disney based music taken whom are
The ending credits of the
North American version of the game credits the same music composers for additional songs in the game. They are:
