Kidscan was set up to establish and fund a Translational Research Centre at Salford University where work is focused on improving the treatment of children with cancer. The aim of the Centre is to participate in national and international studies of new anti-cancer therapies both independently and as part of the United Kingdom Children’s Cancer Study. To discover and develop new treatments for children’s cancers through rational drug design, target discovery and the use of models of paediatric cancer and to stimulate the interaction between clinical and laboratory scientists |
