Kent-meridian High School




Kent-Meridian High School opened in 1951 as part of the Kent, Washington School District, #415.

It was formed from the original Kent High School, which building then became Kent Junior High.

Famous KHS/KMHS students include:
  • Several Japanese-American students who were rounded up in the middle of class one day and herded off to internment camps.

1959 graduate Jack Halbrook Elder. First Graduate of KM to participate in the Olympic Games. Represented USA in the sport of Luge at the Sapporo Olympic games in 1972.
