GEOGRAPHY Keller is located at 32°55'39" North, 97°14'10" West (32.927533, -97.235995). According to the United States Census Bureau , the city has a total area of 47.8 Km&2 (18.4 Mi&2 ). 47.8 km&2 (18.4 mi&2) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water. DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census of 2000, there were 27,345 people, 8,827 households, and 7,856 families residing in the city. The Population Density was 572.6/km&2 (1,483.0/mi&2). There were 9,216 housing units at an average density of 193.0/km&2 (499.8/mi&2). The racial makeup of the city was 93.74% White , 1.43% African American , 0.39% Native American , 1.77% Asian , 0.04% Pacific Islander , 1.18% from Other Races , and 1.45% from two or more races. 4.51% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 8,827 households out of which 5.23% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 81.3% were Married Couples living together, 5.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 11.0% were non-families. 8.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 2.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.09 and the average family size was 3.30. In the city the population was spread out with 33.7% under the age of 18, 4.7% from 18 to 24, 34.7% from 25 to 44, 22.5% from 45 to 64, and 4.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 98.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.3 males. The median income for a household in the city was $86,232, and the median income for a family was $90,129. Males had a median income of $66,969 versus $34,661 for females. The Per Capita Income for the city was $31,986. 1.4% of the population and 1.0% of families were below the Poverty Line . 1.4% of those under the age of 18 and 1.4% of those 65 and older were living below the poverty line.
