Kate Ashfield (born 1972 is an English Actress best-known for starring in the 2004 movie '' Shaun Of The Dead ''.

Born, in in Oldham , Lancashire , Ashfield graduated from Rose Bruford College (previously attended King Edwards Five Ways) in 1993 .

She has since appeared in film, television and the theatre many times. Her first movie rôle came in 1994 as Ella in John Wells' film '' Princess Caraboo ''.
