It is located on the former site of a major sugar refinery which was operated by CSR Limited and is being developed by the Lend Lease Corporation Limited group, a well-known Real Estate Developer . Jackson's Landing is named thus because it was on this land that pop singer Michael Jackson first set foot on Australian soil in 1987.
