Islam And The Jews: The Unfinished Battle (book)

''Islam and the Jews: The Unfinished Battle'' is a 2003 book (ISBN 0884198847) by Mark A. Gabriel , an Egypt ian Islamic scholar and former professor at Al-Azhar University in Cairo and Imam of a local Mosque .

Gabriel claims that Muslim s will be in a never-ending conflict with Israel because of (1) a belief that the land belongs to Islam and (2) a belief that the holy mosque in Jerusalem must be kept pure (pp. 149-150). Gabriel argues that "we can't just sit back and allow Jews and Muslims to continue as they are" (p. 169) and that the solution to the conflict lies in converting both Jews and Muslims to Christianity .

The book also discusses the linkage between the Islam and Anti-semitism and the conflict between Muslims and Jews as encouraged by the Qur'an . Mark A. Gabriel uses his personal history as a formerly anti-semitic Muslim to describe how the Qur'an and Islamic Culture encourage Hate red of non-Muslims and Jews especially. Professor Gabriel believes that Islamic anti-semitism is a key driver of the Arab Israeli Conflict
