Isfahan University of Technology, I.U.T., (دانشگاه صنعتی اصفهان in Persian) is one of the major universities in Iran for the sciences, technology, and agriculture. It is considered a top ranking educational institution in Iran . It is located in the suburbs of the city of Isfahan . It covers about 23 square kilometers. The university was founded in 1974 and admitted its first students in 1977. Today the university offers degrees in B.S., MS.c, and PhD levels several branches of Science and Engineering. Isfahan University of Technology is the only technological university in Iran that has an agriculture faculty. Isfahan university of technology is not to be confused with University Of Isfahan which is located in the south side of the city of Isfahan.
