Lady Isabella Bennet, 2nd Countess of Arlington and Duchess of Grafton (c. 1668 – 7 February 1723 ) was the daughter of Henry Bennet, 1st Earl Of Arlington and Isabella de Nassau. Her mother was a daughter of Lodewijk of Nassau, granddaughter of Maurice Of Nassau, Prince Of Orange and great-granddaughter of William The Silent . On 1 August 1672 , she married the Earl Of Euston (later created Duke Of Grafton ), the illegitimate son of King Charles II and his mistress the Duchess Of Cleveland . They had one son, Charles FitzRoy ( 1683 – 1757 ). On the death of her father in 1685 , Isabella succeeded to his titles '' De Jure ''. Henry died five years later in 1690 and the Countess was re-married to Thomas Hanmer on 14 October 1698 . |
