İsa Qəmbər (''Isa Gambar'' in Russian) (born February 24 , 1957 in Baku ) is an Azerbaijan i politician and leader of Müsavat , the largest opposition bloc in Azerbaijan. BIOGRAPHY DETAILS Isa Gambar is married and has two sons. His wife, Aide Bagirova, is a Doctor of History, a Professor at Baku State University. RECENT POLITICAL EVENTS Human Rights Watch commented on the 2003 elections:
Mr. Gambar is considered "the best hope of the West" to change the current totalitarian regime established by the late Heidar Aliyev. He leads the central opposition bloc '' Azadlıq '' (Freedom), along with Ali Kerimli and exiled Rasul Guliyev . The bloc aims for a Ukrainian-style Orange Revolution , or at least winning the majority seats in parliament, thereby diminishing the central rule.
