(abbreviated I-174) is a proposed 3-digit
Interstate Highway route in
Horry County, South Carolina that will connect Future
Interstate 74 (SC 31 - Carolina Bays Parkway) to
North Myrtle Beach near Main Street. The highway will be a spur of
Interstate 74 once the route is finalized. The project, commonly referred to as the '''North Myrtle Beach Connector''', is awaiting appoval from the
South Carolina General Assembly (House of Representatives Bill H.3462/Senate Bill S.0291). Presently, government officials in the
Myrtle Beach Area are debating over land aquisition needed for the new 3-digit interstate's construction.
