In the Science Fiction Television Series '' Farscape '', the International Aeronautics and Space Administration (IASA) is a fictional alliance of several space agencies of many nations. As the name may suggest, it is an International version of the United States ' National Aeronautics And Space Administration , and may have even absorbed much (if not all) of NASA's assets, including personnel. This includes Jack Crichton , a NASA astronaut who was in rotation during the '' Challenger '' event. The agency was responsible for the John Crichton 's ill-fated ''Farscape'' project (episode 1.01) and had facilities in Australia . The IASA is also featured in the movie '' Event Horizon '', albeit no connection exists with the ''Farscape'' series. |
