Information About

International Action Center

All three of these entities share large overlap with members of the Workers World Party . Most outside the WWP see them as little more than Front Group s.

The IAC self-stated goal is coordinating "activism and information opposing domestic and international injustices." The IAC has offices in major cities including New York City , Washington, D.C. , San Francisco and Boston .

Leftist political and progressive cultural issues in Iraq , Palestine , Haiti , Cuba , Latin America , The Philippines , Korea and elsewhere around the world are of particular interest to the IAC. After the September 11, 2001 Attacks , IAC spawned a group called A.N.S.W.E.R. , which organized major rallies in the United States in opposition to the U.S. invasion of Iraq. It also sent a delegation to the Central African Republic to secure the release of the Haitian president, Jean Bertrand Aristide , after he was removed from power by an allegedly U.S. backed coup in February 2004. The IAC regularly organizes rallies, conferences and other events, purportedly to support human rights and in opposition to Imperialism and "corporate Oppression ."

The IAC publishes books on topical matters, including books on the effect of United Nations sanctions on the people of Iraq, ''The Fire This Time'', by Ramsey Clark; a history of Haiti, ''Haiti: A Slave Revolution''; and a book on the effects of the use of Depleted Uranium in warfare, ''Poison Dust''.

The long term goal of the IAC is the replacement " By Any Means Necessary " of the present Capitalist economic system with a more economically just Marxist system of economic organization. The overall model of Marxist-Leninist economic and political organization under a Dictatorship Of The Proletariat similar to the former USSR is seen as approaching the ideal form of government. This is ultimately why there is very little difference seen by the general public between the self-proclaimed Communist Party , Workers World , and the IAC.

Donations to the IAC are Tax-deductible as an IRS 501(c)(3) "educational organization" through an arrangement with the Progress Unity Fund.
