Given the current Demographics of Inner Mongolia ( Han Chinese currently constitute some 80% of the population), to say nothing of the predilections of the ruling Beijing regime, however, it is exceedingly unlikely that the party would be able to achieve its goals. Historically, an IMPP ( (CCP) after the CCP came to power in 1949 . During the 1966-76 Cultural Revolution , certain elements within the Chinese government, including notorious security chief Kang Sheng , claimed that the party had covertly revived itself as a hostile separate entity and sought to extinguish it.
