Every year at what is usually the Court's largest fundraiser, the members of the respective courts elect an Empress and an Emperor, who then participate in a Coronation . A few weeks later, the new Monarch s usually give out court titles at their Investiture . Some of the titles awarded are Crown Prince , Grand Duchess , and Court Jester . The new court then spends the upcoming year conducting fundraisers and hosting events like drag shows, LGBT Pride Parades , and other activities. Some of the various causes and charities that have received the assistance of Court members include those related to AIDS , Breast Cancer , Domestic Abuse , Public Television , and youth scholarships.
Since its inception, the Court System has received recognition by various elected officials and celebrities for its outstanding contributions to the community. While largely made up of gays and lesbians, each court is open to anyone wishing to help. Gay , Lesbian , Bisexual , Transgender and Heterosexual people have all served as monarchs and court members in the system's history.
While there is no official count of exactly how much money has been raised, the average Court raises thousands of dollars every reign, most of which, because of the voluntary nature of the program, goes directly to people in need.
