Ibn Hajar Asqalani




Ibn Hajar Asqalani was a Sunni scholar.

In 817, Ibn Hajar commenced the enormous task of assembling his Fath Al-Bari , the most valued Sunni commentary of Sahi Bukhari .

He deemed the leader of the troops that killed Husain Ibn Ali , Umar Ibn Sa'ad , to be trustworthy.

He followed the Shafi'i Madhab .
