HISTORY Huntsville was founded in 1860 by Jefferson Hunt . GEOGRAPHY Huntsville is located at 41°15'36" North, 111°46'24" West (41.259864, -111.773446). According to the United States Census Bureau , the town has a total area of 1.9 Km&2 (0.7 Mi&2 ). 1.7 km&2 (0.7 mi&2) of it is land and 0.2 km&2 (0.1 mi&2) of it is water. The total area is 9.46% water. DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census of 2000, there were 649 people, 194 households, and 163 families residing in the town. The Population Density was 374.0/km&2 (965.3/mi&2). There were 219 housing units at an average density of 126.2/km&2 (325.7/mi&2). The racial makeup of the town was 98.77% White , 0.15% African American , 0.31% Native American , 0.00% Asian , 0.00% Pacific Islander , 0.15% from Other Races , and 0.62% from two or more races. 3.08% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 194 households out of which 46.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.6% were Married Couples living together, 10.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 15.5% were non-families. 13.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.35 and the average family size was 3.70. In the town the population was spread out with 33.7% under the age of 18, 11.1% from 18 to 24, 21.4% from 25 to 44, 21.9% from 45 to 64, and 11.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 108.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.8 males. The median income for a household in the town was $50,625, and the median income for a family was $52,656. Males had a median income of $37,411 versus $31,528 for females. The Per Capita Income for the town was $16,232. 5.9% of the population and 4.3% of families were below the Poverty Line . 5.1% of those under the age of 18 and 7.6% of those 65 and older were living below the poverty line.
