At one time, the station sat at the north-eastern corner of the North Rd/Huntingdale Rd intersection, with a level crossing passing though the intersection. The station and line were not significantly altered to fix the problem (such as was the case near Boronia ); instead, the intersection was overhauled. North Road was elevated to bridge over Huntingdale Road and the station; Huntingdale Road North meets and follows the north side of the railway under the bridge before curling anticlockwise and joining the westbound lane of North Road; Huntingdale Road South leads into Haughton Road, which follows the south side of the railway under the bridge, before turning through Morone Street and joining the eastbound lane of North Road. Vehicles travelling from south to north must turn right across North Road and complete a figure 8.
