PLOT This shows Darren Shan 5 years after his last encouter with the vampaneze. Now that he is an active member in the Vampire community, Darren once again is visited by Mr Desmond Tiny. Thier brief encounter sends a more experienced Darren Shan on a quest to find the Vampaneze Lord. He sets out from Vampire Mountain with Mr Crepsley and Harkat Mulds and, on the way to Evanna's, they meet the final member of their party, another prince, Vancha March. Upon meeting Evanna, Darren learns the fate that could await the Vampaneze Lord, or him.
