Hayes earned a degree in Communications from Manhattan College . During her time there, she was skeptical about beginning a career in creative writing. On the verge of majoring in the nursing profession, Hayes decided to commit to communications. After graduating, Hayes began seeking publication for her first novel. After several unsuccessful efforts, Hayes decided to publish the book herself. That decision earned her attention from a number of literary agents. After securing a literary agent, she received a contract offer to publish two novels through HarperCollins . Hayes currently resides in New York City with her niece, Brandi. |
